Hi I've just started treatment for my Endo, zoladex implant once a month and hrt daily...but today im feeling really emotional...very snappy and just want to cry all the time, and this immense paranoia over my hubby....could this be a side effect of the treatment? X

Nada I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. It could be the treatment, I have no experience of Zoladex, but was like this with Cerazette. I am now in Qlaira and suffering mild headache but finding it manageable with regular Sophrology exercises. In Sophrology we focus on pleasant experiences and where and how we feel this in the body. By doing this regularly and keeping a journal we can often balance the negative effects of outside influences ie drugs, grumpy people in the shops, family etc and actually train our brains to be happier whatever. I love the mood lifting exercises and it is less challenging than Yoga although I love that too. I hope you find some relief soon. Try sitting in a quiet room do a few deep breaths from your belly up and then focus on something you really love. How does that make you feel, and it's quite common to cry especially if you have been down or in pain for a while. This is ok though as it can release some tension. Keep focussed on your thing you love and notice where in your body you feel it. The more we focus on pleasant feelings the stronger we are.

Big hugs to you and if you want more help feel free to let me know and we can chat.

Jenny ;0)

Hi there, you can find a practitioner in the UK but the numbers are still small so you may need to work with someone on Skype. Or I am doing my Diploma and to qualify I need to hold a group of 6 people for 6 sessions and each person needs to write a short journal so my tutor can see I have done the courses. I can help you with relaxation exercises and sleep enhancement which in turn often help many other health problems. If I can get enough people together I can do a group on Skype. The best benefits come from practising each day.

Let me know. My email is jenickbesom@yahoo.co.uk

Big hugs. Jenny

Nadz I should mention this would be free of charge also as I am still studying. It certainly won't harm you and may even help. ;0)

Hi, yes this is a side effect - you may find HRT will help you - talk to your GP.

Sorry, I just noticed you said that (I'm very tired, so wasnt concentrating!) . When I had my first course of Prostap, I got really depressed and my GP prescribed antidepressants - I took them for about a month until I felt myself again. Its horrible having to cope with depression on top of everything else endo throws at you.

Yes definately, my whole personality changed when I had the Zoladex treatment for 6 months,I'm back to normal now thank goodness... I had all those side affects and more...it was awful..I don't know if it was worse as I wasn't on hrt but Zoladex did not agree with me at all... I hope as time goes on your hormones start to settle and you feel a little happier...xx

Hi hun, I know what you mean. I hate this I've been really odd today not as grumpy as yesterday but I just don'tfeel right at all, but can't put my finger on exactly how I feel...if that makes sense. been running round like I've got a bee in my back side lol. I'm glad to hear your new meds are better for you. Have you tried amyltriptoline for

your headaches? I had one that lasted almost 15weeks and they prescribed them....absolutely fantastic took a week to kick in but its rare I wake up with the dull ache now xxx

It's a horrible feeling and I feel for you,I promise you do feel normal again..I couldn't go out in public/on nights out properly or anything on the Zoladex..I am a very bubbly outgoing person so I found this hard to cope with as the strange me just wasn't me...proper paranoid and just didn't enjoy anything...it was horrible...my endo is just coming back after a lap in 2011 and then getting pregnant straight after...I had our little boy in August 2012 then a coil fitted December 2012 so nearly 2 years on and it's back :-( ...waiting for a internal scan then will decide what to do re treatment...we want another baby soon so no hormone treatment for me...will see in 8 weeks time at my follow up appointment...what's your story hun? X
