I also had a lump removed from rectus sheath when I had my c section 7 years ago and they didn't know what it was. I was rushed in the following year and another 2 lumps removed and finally histology showed endo. I have had so much pain since and had another MRI a couple of months ago which showed that both rectus sheath muscles were covered in endo lumps. I am having a total hysterectomy leaving hopefully 1 ovary and the rectus sheath muscles removed and replaced with mesh on the 25th Sept. I have spent 7 years trying to convince doctors that it was the stomach muscles causing me pain and they all thought I was mad.

Hello hun,

I have bad stage 4 endo & some of it is on my rectum (as well as the pouch of douglas, bowel, bladder, ovaries, uterus & general abdominal cavity) I suffer alot from bowel spasms & it hurts to go to the loo. I was told that the endo is probably causing this. I am waiting to see a new consultant but have been told that it needs to be removed & I will need a bowel resection. I dont want to have a hysterectomy yet as I am only 20 though. Hope this helps x

Endo is such a nasty disease I'm sorry to hear of your suffering and I hope when you do have surgery with all this it goes well for you Hun. I'm struggling so much at the minute I'm 30 and having a hysterectomy by January it's so scary like a lot of people on here I just want the pain to stop x

Hi I had a mass in my lower right abdomen you could feel it if you touched on my belly I went to the doctors numerous times and no one knew what it was and kept fobbing me off the pain was so bad and I felt tired and sick all the time so eventually went to a and e they took me to surgery saying I had appendicitis I came round from the op and it was not the case eventually pain got even worse and I couldn't wear jeans or anything that sat heavy on my stomach I finally got my doc to refer me back to hospital I had a scan they thought it was a hernia the general surgeon operated and removed a mass from my lower right abdo and sent it off for histology I was warned it could be cancer they were testing eventually I got my results and it was endometriosis of the rectus sheath but I also have it everywhere else which has now caused massive swelling to my insides the lump has now returned just a year on I have tried so many things to control this but nothing so they are taking me to surgery to remove lump again and all the endo and give me a full hysterectomy I am so tired sick and in so much pain all the time the lump and the whole of that area is the worse pain ever it's constant it's been such a battle
