I've had endometriosis twice already, and I had surgery in december. I'm currently on birth control and I'm due to get my next period on the 26th, but I'm bleeding. It's not a lot, but I'm slowly bleeding more. Is this normal? Should I go to the hospital? I'm very confused, someone, please help.

Hi xjgd,
I'm having the same issues.II'm due to have a lap in a few months and have been put on the pill to try n dampen down the endo. I think what we're experiencing is breakthrough bleeding which can either mean that the medication is not working and we need to change it or need to give it 3months for our body to adjust and see if the bleeding stops.
Are you getting any cramps with the bleeding?
I don't know if I'm just being paranoid but I'm pretty sure my cramps are worse on the days that I notice more bleeding.
My consultant advised me that breakthrough bleeding is normal and nothing to worry about.
Sorry can't be of more help
xx
I got some cramps today but not at all as bad as I used to get. I was just told that it could be my body adjusting, but I want to go see my gyno tomorrow anyway, you can never be too sure.
thank you :)!
