Please check this with your pharmacist. The Malaria tablets are far more important than the pill in terms of your trip, but if there is any possible interaction rendering the contraceptive no longer of use as a means of preventing pregnancy and you are having sex on your trip then take some condoms with you as an extra layer of protection. They protect against STDs as well.
Use mosquito nets, take a needle and thread to sew up any holes in the netting too. Mosquitoes will find anyway to get inside a net if they can. Use repellents, sprays, roll ons, deet, mozzycoils and anything else you can find to fend off the mosquitoes.
Be sensible and you should still be able to have a very good holiday.
