does the bloating affect anyone mentally the most?

Just wondering. I'm just bloated 24/7 now, even first thing in the morning when I wake up and have an empty stomach!

I am not overweight, and the rest of my body is ok, but I can't wear nice dresses and always feel super self conscious about my stomach (but it's not FAT, just BLOAT)...even in summer if I'm wearing a dress I wear a scarf to drape over my tum to hide it. It really gets me down to the point of tears sometimes.

I’m the same. I’m 20 and my endo belly has stopped me going out on nights out with friends and everything. In fact, it was so bad on New Years Eve I had to cancel everything. Go on my profile and there is a picture of how bad it was on New Year’s Eve. I don’t think people realise how bad it actually gets you down but I am so self conscious about it and I’ve tried everything to reduce it but nothing works x

glad I'm not alone x I keep getting told it's IBS but my diet is clean and I've had my gut checked for infections etc; nothing has come back :(

I thought I must have something else wrong with me but I think it’s just one of my symptoms of endo. I have it so bad though people have even asked me how many weeks I am because I look like I’m about 7 months pregnant x

i can't look in the mirror anymore really, it just looks so out of proportion with the rest of my body :(

I’m the exact same. I feel like it’s definitely got worse since I had my lap. I had it 6 months ago so it’s not even off that anymore. Have you tried the endo diet as I know it works for some people?

i eat fairly clean anyway, so haven't looked into it too much. my diet is already fairly restricted due to allergies/intolerances!

I totally understand how you're feeling! I've got my lap next week for my diagnosis but I defo have the endo bloat...it's awful!

I have barely any clothes to pick from and it actually makes me not want to go out! I have put on weight anyway but I can tell the difference between my normal stomach and bloating. I've got a work do next week and I just don't want to go because the only dress that fits me is really fitted and I know I'm going to have to suck in and be uncomfortable all night, especially after a 3 course dinner.

I think after my lap I'm going to try the endo diet to see if that helps.

Have you tried the Monash University low Fodmap diet? It helped reduce my bloat after my excision surgery along with probiotics to balance my disrupted gut flora. I also have allergies and intolerances but managed it.

Ugh bloating is the worst. It’s so uncomfortable having your stomach like that. So tight, and pushing out. I’ve had it all week, like you, no change morning to night. Can’t fit into any of my jeans, have had to wear tights or leggings all week. All my jumpers/tops are tight across my belly now and just make it look worse. I don’t want to get up in the mornings now, because standing is more uncomfortable than sitting. That said, walking my dog seems to help, if only in taking my mind off it perhaps.
