I had a lap last week and when the surgeon put the camera inside he said he was immediately faced with a load of blood which he had to drain first before he could do anything. I asked where it had come from and if it could return and he couldn't answer. Just wondering if anyone else has had this and if so has any explanation? Thank you.

Blood in pelvic area
Is it possible you had an endometrial cyst rupture recently? Have you had any other recent symptoms? I had blood in my pelvic area from a burst cyst but it was painful and made me feel pretty sick.
Hi! I got rushed in with appendicitis and when they operated on me they found this too-all the surgeons that visited me afterwards said different things from burst cysts from endo to not being endo related at all! I now have a follow up appointment with my gynae in July. Who knows what he will say!!! X
Hi thanks for your replies. I wondered if it could be something like that. I have been in a lot of pain since my last lap in nov and throwing up at least once a week but no incident recently that I could think would stand out as a burst cyst moment! I had what I thought may be that in February and had to go to a and e as I was vomiting and in agony for about 8 hours - could that be burst cyst pain? Thank you x
I was told I had blood in my pelvic cavity when I had my last laparoscopy. The consultant couldn't tell me why it was there either. When I had an ultrasound scan last month the scan report noted fluid in my pelvic cavity so I'm guessing it's still there. Weird! xx
Thank you, this disease is so confusing isn't it!
I wonder if it would be from the Endo growths bleeding with your period etc. as the blood has no way to leave your body? Just my thoughts!
