Why do they lie? I'm in agony and can't stop crying!!

I'm currently in hospital. The dr in a&e promised me I'd get pain killers on the ward. I'm now on the ward and they don't have the pain killers I'm written up for and they want me to wait another 4 hours in top of the 3 iv already waited!!! The reason I'm hurting so much is because of the stupid internal examination that I only had because she promised I'd get pain killers after!!! Why am I in hospital if they don't plan on helping?? Why tell me I'm getting the pills up here when I'm not. I'm in agony I haven't had more then paracetamol since 10pm and it's now 5am what sort of crazy cruel hospital is this x x

So sorry you've had a bad night, it's awful when your in pain & no one listening.

I had the same

At stepping hill hosp, my bowel twisted after excisive lap.

I was literally in chronic pain I passed out in the bathroom. Horrendous. No care no help whatsoever!

I kept asking for doctor as they're the only ones who can help you. One did come & she did help but I must of already waited 5/7 hrs from last meds from actually waking up from operation.

I don't think this situration is new or uncommon but certainly not at all easy to cope with when it's happening to you.

They have insulted me by giving me paracetamol!!! Iv taken It because I'm hurting lots but it's crazy!!! Why keep me in if I'm not getting pain relife. X x x

It's stupid paracetomol is c...p we all know that!

Cocodomol should be least they give you! Horrors!

Really hope you get home soon, I think you must go to your gp and tell them the truth. You need proper regular pain relief.

And referring to another hospital.

But even though your feeling low you've got to find a little but more strength to ask them for this.

I had a mixture of drugs & tried all sorts of coils & implants through at least the last 11yrs to no avail. It's the irregular bleeding as well as pain that gets me.

At the moment I took myself off one tablet, but I take ibuprofen 400mg x2, & 30/500 cocodomol x2 usually 3/4s a day.

Try not to take constant but both drugs work best when they are

Taken constantly to build it up in your system.

As well as a new one for me cerezette but a double dose!

However I have a great deal great deal of side effects from it, even hair falling out!

Anyway, get home, and get yourself to gp instead.

My gp is crap. Iv been referred to a new specialist though bit that takes time. It's very difficult to get to another hospital as there isn't one with an endo dr near by apart from this one. I normally take gabapentin 900mg a day. Amitriptaline 50mg a day. When I need extra I take severdol, tramadol or oxycodone. Pretty strong stuff x x x

Drugs then I really don't understand why the hospital your in are just giving you paracetomol!

Now its morning contact your (Pals) its the Patients advisory liaison service, they will find out why you was left. If I knew which hospital I could get you the number, just ask a nurse for a Pals representive they have to by law get you Pals consultation. X

Serrapeptase supplements got rid of the agony I was in with Endometriosis never thought the pain would stop. I can find you the link if you need to know where I got them. In less than 4 days they cleared up the clots and no pain since. Hospital was useless.

Hi im sorry to hear what you are going through. I had a similar experience when i went to a&e last wednesday with chronic pain in right abdoman after three months after having my 4th laproscopy. I did call an ambulance but was told id have to wait two hours for a doctor to call me back. My dad drove me and i waited four hours before being taken through. Was given co codemal and oral morphine. Neither worked so i had to ask for something stronger. Well had to scream to be honest before they i injected me with morphine. They were going to send me home but i refused to move and told them they will be admitting me. Stayed in hospital for two days. On second day they refused to give me injection morphine because a nurse had told the doctor id been eating, drinking and walking about all day which was not true and left me in pain for three hours and didnt tell me i could have had more oral morphine again. I did see pain management who have prescribed targinact slow release and oxynorm. Both are morphine and have anestetic in which leaves me feeling drousy and groggy. I can only take on last day of my period for four days as that is when pain is really bad. Plus they are very addictive. I contacted pals when i was in hospital and they have asked me to put in writing all the issues so they can address and learn from their mistakes. I hope you are starting to feel better and have pain relief to help manage your pain. Take care kels x

Which hospital is it? That's terrifying. I heard that Birmingham and some of Londons hospital are really bad with after care.

They just gave me EFFIN paracetamol AGAIN!!! Why won't they help me this is stupid!!! No one seems to care. Iv been prescribed morphine tablets but they won't give them to me!! I even brought in my own but they have locked them up!!

It's ridiculous! You could just take paracetamol at home. Did you ask to speak to PALS? There must be a nurse in charge, can you ask to speak with whoever that is to see why they are only giving you paracetamol?
