Anyone on here from North Wales?
Hi yep I'm in deeside, North Wales x
Not far, the Wirral xx
Hello ladies! How are you? Nice to find some local people!
Prestatyn
I am in Wrexham, anyone been to the local support group?
Wow, loads of people! How is everyone today?! x
ok how are you? x
Am ok today, not liking this early darkness though! x
Wow has it really been 5 months since the last post?! We should start a support group or something as the other 1 seems to have ended x
That would be brill. I'm in Flint and have tried to find out about a support group but no luck as yet. X
There did used to be one, think the woman running it had enough! We should get one up and running if there is an interest for it, even if it's only a few people over a coffee x
I am in Mold!! I think it would be great for a support group to be set up!! Even if it was a coffee meet up or something!! Would be great to meet others who are battling with this vile thing!!
My family and boyfriend don't understand me when I talk about my symptoms and worries so I feel I would really benefit from meeting a few of you to hear your stories and struggles etc 😁
If a few are up for meeting perhaps we can arrange something?
I think we would need funding for a venue etc but we could start with a coffee shop somewhere Central or if anyone has any ideas?
🌻💛💪🏼☕️

Hi Sophie, I'm up the road in Buckley, new on the site and was diagnosed last Xmas x
Brill.
It has been such a long time since this thread was started...I am wondering whether people have forgotten?!
Ok, if you are still receiving this and are interested in meeting up, say below in the next few days or so and we can try and arrange something.

Hi all,
I'm in,relatively new and as yet undiagnosed but it's good to see so many from North Wales, I'm from the mountains near Caernarfon. Anyone got any info on the Rheumatologists in ysbyty Gwynedd? I'm having my 2nd appointment on Wednesday. Thanks
Howdo! I was under gynae at Bangor until earlier this year - the nursing staff are lovely, but my consultant (and his minions) were terrible. Hope the other depts are better!
nice to see someone else in North Wales! Where abouts are you? I'm in Bodelwyddan.

Hello!
I live on Anglesey
I was admitted into hospital with endo in Ysbyty Gwynedd last Winter, but have only recently found out that it's endo that I've been down with...
As I had a rather horrible experience while in hospital (YG) with my allocated consultant at the time - they were part of the Emergency Surgical Assessment Unit - , I'm a bit nervous about meeting my new gynae consultant at YG in October... Anything I should know and be aware of beforehand...?
(N.B. My grandparents called me over to their home country recently to get checked out, and it was there that I got diagnosed with endo.)
hello!
Sorry you've had a rubbish time at YG; my previous consultant was there (and he was crap) so I sincerely hope you fare better.
My only real advice is do your research before hand so that if they offer you some treatment etc, you know what it is and what questions to ask. I ALWAYS write a long list of questions / points before I go to any appointment, so that I make them answer what I want to know about. If you can take someone with you, do it, so that you get a second pair of ears as well.
If you want to talk more about YG, I guess you had better send me a private message, as I don't think the admins on here like it!
xx
Hello everyone!
There is a group for local ladies on Facebook if you are interested called 'Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales'. It is useful for local information etc for Endo stuff.
On that group, we have agreed a meet up on Sat 3rd October at 12pm in the Plough in St Asaph. Everyone is welcome!
hope to see you soon
xx
Hi I live in Buckley Flintshire
Hello to any ladies in Wales! You are all invited (and most welcome!) to join our group FTWW = Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales.
As many of you ladies in Wales already know, the treatment (or lack of!) we are receiving for Endometriosis - and many other health conditions - is currently unacceptable. The discrepancies between the care we receive and what is available in England is totally unfair. We are also concerned by the difference(s) in how women's health conditions are perceived and treated by the health services compared to those of men, and feel that this is also an issue which needs highlighting.
Currently, we are a relatively new, small group - but we have a lot of knowledge and experience. We are able to talk openly about the treatment we have received, as well as share our experiences and offer advice, in the hope that this will enable more ladies living in Wales to access better treatment for Endo and any other health issues with which they - you - may be dealing.
Our aim is to bring about much needed change in the way(s) that women in Wales are treated by the health service so that it's fair and equal across the board - our motto is "We're not mad, we just want 'even'"!
I am deffo interested in meeting and would love to come along to the meeting in St Asaph 😁
Im n penyffordd , near Buckley
Just a quick reminder - There's a get - together this Saturday 3rd October at The Plough in St Asaph at 12 noon for anyone wanting to come along.
Nothing formal. Just a chat over a coffee.
All welcome!
