Morning wee and endo..: Hey ladies every... - Endometriosis UK
Morning wee and endo..
Yes, this happens to me, particularly at then end of my period and the following days as I have endo on my bladder. I used to think it was a urine infection/cystitis so would drink so much to try and flush it out but that only made the bladder overwork and cause more pain. Mention this at the lap and they will have a good look at the bladder. Good luck x
You're welcome - the symptoms are so confusing and really easy to fob off as something else. Yes I have bowel problems with my endo - it's where I have it the worst. Before my lap and endo removal (what they could remove) I had IBS symptoms most days - it was very debilitating. Since then it's reduced to happening only during my period and maybe the occasional other incident. I do get a lot of trapped wind though. I was told I had IBS in 2005 and not diagnosed with endo til 2011 so relieved to have found the cause if not a total cure xx
Not sure if this will help you, but I have pain when I wee at any time of the day. I just had my lap last week and the doc said that I had adhesions on many of my organs including my bladder. He said that when the bladder changes shape ie when u pee this will cause a lot of pain as the adhesions are pulling and stretching. Makes a lot of sense to me now! I'm still quite sore when I pee but hoping this will get better as I heal over the next few weeks. I hope your lap goes well in June x
I have a lot of wind felt in my lower belly alot twinges shooting pains etc.... And ibs is unbearable most days! I'm really struggling and my laparoscopy isn't until June
Whisper engery..
My wee only hurts in the morning and the flowing for a few hours but it sounds very similar and the pulling sounds pretty actuate to what it feels like did they manage to remove it? X
Yes they removed it, don't have my follow up app for 3 months so I won't find out the full extent of what was done until then but the doc said he removed endo and lots of adhesions - on my bowels/colon, ovaries, uterus and abdominal wall. I also had a lot of shooting pains when passing wind just like you, my doc said this was from the adhesions on the bowel/colon area.
Yes, its awful! I avoid drinking too much during this time, only to avoid having to wee so much. I too have it on my bladder. I guess this is the cause. My stomach literally feels like it is on fire!
How long was you in hospital for when it was removed whisper energy?
My pain sounds so similar to those of adhesions on the bladder xxx
I developed similer pains after my last lap. After waking up I didn't wee for 24 hours, then I managed to push out a tiny amount which they tested. Came back as negative. 2 weeks later I was back in a&e with awful pains in my bladder and kidneys and an infection had developed. There is talk of me possibly having gravel in my bladder as it hurts the most at the end of the wee. Ask them to check for this. X x x
Hi jofus
Interested to know what exactly is gravel in bladder I've never heard of this? I have pain every time I pee just at the end and has been the case for about 2 yrs. Last lap I had showed endo on bladder. Sometimes it really hurts and will make me gasp everytime I go. Not nice at all xx
I really feel for you hun. I get this too but with every pee not just morning one. It's exactly as you describe just towards the end and afterwards. Not nice at all. You prob have endo on your bladder area unfortunately. Definitely tell your surgeon so they investigate that area well. I had a lap end of 2011 and bladder area ok but had lap this yr and bladder area had endo there so for me it spread to that area rather quickly. Perhaps you get it worse with morning pee as bladder may be fuller for longer then so could hurt more. Good luck for your lap next month xx
Hi Natashoscar1, sorry just saw your post from a few days ago. I was kept in for two days, one night although they wanted me to stay a second night but I wanted to go home
Iv just found out today that my laparoscopy is just a diagnostic one was so excited to get rid of what's there but nope lol xxxx
You never know, mine was initially just to be diagnostic but when I went in on the morning of the surgery they said they would remove anything they could see, fingers crossed for that happens for you too Is the date quite soon? xxx
That's nice to know my gynecologist said if they find anything they might get rid of it but in a letter to my doctor said they would bring me back to discuss futher treatment! So thought it's just a diagnostic laparoscopy fingers crossed I need some luck lol! It's on the 20th of June not to far to be honest xxxxx
Hopefully when they go in and see what is there they will just remove it. Wld make sense seen as u will be under anaesthetic anyway. I really hope this happens for you as the whole process of getting appointments and surgery dates feels so long and drawn out when you are in pain. Best of luck in June and I look forward to hearing how you get on Lots of love xx
