Blimey what is it with unorganised doctors! I have one of those too! My URGENT appointment after my hospital stay is in June!
Have you had your abnormal cells treated?
Your GP should know if the mirena can be used or maybe contact the family planning asdociatipn. They are a great resource for advice.
Best of luck,

Thanks for reply. Now thinking on it I think I will go to GP and ask them to refer me to somewhere who manly deals with endo. Yesterday was a waste of everybody's time! x
Do you have untreated abnormal cells? If you have abnormal cells which are currently untreated but being monitored it may be sensible to postpone a mirena, as this will usually need to be removed before you have any treatment. I've had abnormal cells which were treated and have since had the mirena inserted. So it's fine to have the mirena following any treatment. Hope that helps.
