Bladder endo and fertility concerns...!?

Hi Ladies,

I need some advice and words of wisdom please!

I have endo inside my bladder, that bleeds during my period and the week leading up to my period, (endo found on cystoscopy last month). I had a lap as well, and my gynae said she only found small areas of inactive endo but nothing effecting reproductive organs, so my questions are, Should the endo in my bladder effect my fertility? If yes how?

Also because it bleeds just before my period does that mean I'm unlikely to be pregnant that month?

Any info you have to share would be muchly appreciated.

P.S. All hormonal tests and ovulation normal and husband all normal, we've been trying just over a year. Xxx

It shouldn't in any way affect TTC or being pregnant. Which on that score is good news, however, endo being endo it can spread and nest in other places and that can mean in the furture at some point it may nest near or on the ovaries or fallopian tubes or both, which could led to a reduction in your chances of an egg sucessfully journeying from the ovary to the uterus on one side or perhaps even both sides.

It may not spread there of course as it can crop up anywhere else and still not intefere with reproduction. I have stage 4 endo, it's in my bladder and bowels, really quite a messy situation - but until I had an ovary and tube removed - both tubes were still clear after 30 years of endo.

Endo does not always cut fertility. It can do so, but it is luck of the draw as to whether this may happen to you.

As you know for the time being that all is well, keep your fingers crossed it stays that way long enough at least for you to complete your family and hopefully longer.

Being pregnant will pause the endo from spreading or growing, which is a bonus too.

Keeping trying while you can. Even if at the endo of the day it doesn't work out, it won't be for want of trying. Wishing you the best of luck in baby making.
