I hear a lot of u ladies say about first lap. Am I likely to have another lap?
I agree with yellowRose the answer is yes, sorry to say. I have had 4 in the last 2 years so 1 every 6 months and planning another. But I feel much better from this last lap, the only lap I have felt any benefit from AND I have put myself on the endo diet for the last 3 weeks so that could be helping too as I haven't had too many symptoms since I was on it. I am due on my period on Monday and this week I have had a tiny bit of pain but nothing to what I have experienced before my op so I know I have still got a tiny bit left as my surgeon said he has taken it all away but he was not saying that i haven't got any left. But it IS a huge improvement. I haven't even taken a pain killer the last 3 weeks so you can have some improvement. It really depends on the skill of the surgeon and nothing else, if he is very precise at taking it all away by cutting it out and not lasering it you may be a lot better off pain wise. But if he leaves even 1% in then you will be back to square one again before too long. I reckon around 98% of mine has been removed this time so that's why I am planning my next op as I still don't feel quite normal yet, unfortunately. X
Unfortunately you can never tell. Depend on the extent of your problem and what treatment you need. I have just had my 4th laparoscopy and the last two I had in the space of 8 weeks. (But this was for a very good reason). If your diagnosis of Endo was made a while ago and a new symptom occurs they may wish to re investigate. I know it all seems a massive pain but unfortunately it the only real way they have of determining your situation and can't be avoided with Endo. Stay positive, I know some people who only had the one!
