Can't eat following op

I had my 6 lap last Friday just the normal all endo lazered. However I'm really struggling to eat since. The only thing I can keep down is rich tea biscuits. I'm even struggling to keep a cuppa tea down. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi clem01,

Just a thought but could it be you may have an infection after surgery which is causing these symptoms?? It is quite common to get infection after this kind of surgery. I would contact the gp or the hospital where you had the lap and just ask for some advice. I suppose as well everyone

recovers differently. I hope you are feeling much better soon.

Take care Nat18 :-) xx

Hi I wasn't throwing up after my last lap but I was off my food for around 5 weeks. Just wasn't interested in food which is unlike me. On endo diet now and getting used to it, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. You may be ok in a few days, just have little bits at a time and try not to overload your stomach for a little while x

Hi, yes I have it after every surgery. Apparently it has something to do with the anasetic. The hospital advised me to suck on mint as soon as I've eaten....it works a little but not much. Normally takes a week to settle down. Hope you're feeling better soon xx
