On second month of my horomone replacement hag and HRT livial and still bleeding. Is this normal?

I took hrt for a couple of months during my 12mth course of prostap injections, it made me bleed too, the version I was on causes breakthrough bleeding in the same way the pill gives you periods every 21-28 days, this is completely normal and to be expected with hrt, however if you are on the injections to stop periods then its obviously not ideal as its undoing the benefits. I wasn't happy to continue with it because of this so my Gynae agreed I could stop the hrt and muddle through the rest of the prostap course on my own. It depends on what type of hrt you have but if it is the combined version (oestrogen and progesterone, often 21 days of one and 7 days of the other) then monthly bleeding will happen, I pushed a GP to switch it to the single hormone version and he refused saying all hrt would make me bleed but my Gynae disagreed and said there are some that don't so depending on why you are taking it its probably worth trying to discuss with your Gynae whether a different version would be better suited to you x
