Second opinion appointment yesterday...

Thank god for the GP that referred me to a different hospital!! Within a minute, maybe two, he said he knew what my problem was. Didn't want to do another lap as I had one in april and he didn't think it was fair to put me through it again so soon with having children. He said he didn't believe that the first hospital (who I'll keep nameless) didn't find endo, that they just didn't look properly! I am starting zoladex and hrt in two weeks time. Mixed feelings about that part at the moment but feel that I'm finally being taken seriously and not fobbed off with pain relief that makes me ill!!! I highly recommend the second Hospital!!!

Glad you had such a positive outcome from your second opinion appointment. You sound both relieved and happy that a treatment plan has been decided upon and will start soon.

Hope the zoladex and HRT work for you. Well done on sticking to your guns and asking for an appointment at the second hospital where you found an understanding gynae

Hi Flash,

I am at present on the Zoladex, have had 2 injections to date. I am finding it great and i am no longer having any pain YEEHA. Can get very tired at times i work full time and have a 15yr old boy at home, but would rather be tired than in pain and having to take painkillers all the time. Having spent the last 2 yrs at Doctors and hospitals it is nice to get back to a normal life/routine and not have the fear of the pain coming.

I'm not having HRT, my Doctor didn't think this was a good idea.
