Hi

Do you suffer from endo and adhesions, or adhesions alone? If you have endo your best option is to search for an accredited endo centre, there are about 13 across the country (plus more that are working towards being accredited) and most are NHS. You can then get a referral to an actual endo specialist who typically deals with the worst cases and most of these women will also have a lot of adhesions as well. If you don't also suffer from endo it still may be worth looking at the consultants at the accredited endo centres as they are specialised at freeing organs etc in the pelvis.

Hello thanks for getting back to me! As yet I dont think I have endo. I think I actually make have put my question on the wrong forum but I know sometimes they can be related for some people. Will definitely look into it though thank you!

Hi there

Unfortunately we do not allow individual consultants to be named on this forum so please do not encourage people to tell you names. Clinics or hospitals can be named and every time someone asks this question we suggest they go and look on the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy website (bsge.org.uk) and check out the accredited and provisional endometriosis centres there.

It would be rare to find a specialist who specialises in adhesions alone, as the treatment of these are part and parcel of dealing with endometriosis. You mention that you have not been given a formal diagnosis in relation to your chronic pelvic pain and so we would always suggest discussing this with your GP.

Good luck with finding a good treatment option for you.

Kind regards
