Hiya

oh that sucks :-( have you been to the GP for urine swabs?

if it's a bacterial cystitis infection (normal UTI) then loads of water, cranberry juice and rest!

have you been diagnosed with other conditions??

hope you're ok

Hiya Charlie83

I went to the gp yesterday and all they done was dip stick test my urine which came back as a uti, was just put on a three day course of antibiotics and told to go back if pain and temp get worse. I havent been diagnosed with anything else yet but I have had a few uti's in the last couple of years and used to suffer badly as a kid. Have had swabs etc done and all back clear, got an appointment with gyne in november so fingers crossed he will be able to help!

Been drinking loads as i'm so thirsty anf my head is banging to the extent I feel sick, the naproxen makes me feel more sick tho so dont want to take that as painrelief! :(

Thanks for your advice charlie! xx

oh this sounds rubbish! for a normal uti, drinking loads of water is a must, but it can make you feel really sick (i used to drink bucketloads and i always felt really ill after) and it can make you feel head-ache-y too. However, it will help you loads soon!

Yep, painkillers as powerful as naproxen can make you feel really sick too, i find that naproxen makes me feel sick too now, so i don't take it anymore.

Try to relax, and maybe a hot water bottle could help ease the discomfort? before the antibiotics kick in.

It's great that you're seeing a gynaecologist, hopefully they can help make things clearer and for better health very soon!

xx

Thanks Charlie! Just filled a 2litre bottle up to drink through the night and climbed into bed, my kidneys are hurting so much! I've got my hot water bottle keeping them warm though! I suffer with back pain anyway so this is ten times worse! Think one i'm asleep i'll be fine :)!

Thanks for all the advice! :) xxxx
