Random question but am curious if anyone else gets told they have wbc in urine but no infection and if so can this be linked to endo?

Hi. I had WBC in urine and was being treated for repeated urine infections due to the constant pelvic pain.... Months went by and to cut a long story short I've had two bladder procedures and finally a lap to investigate the on going pain and got diagnosed with endo... I believe my urine symptoms are related to endo as well as my IBS too. Hope this helps x

Hi, thank you both for your replies. I have just had a lap which has found no endo but have pelvic pain, bleeding from bowel, heavy periods, painful sex... Before my lap they found wbc in my urine but I don't have an infection- this happens a lot but I don't have other symptoms if urinary probs except the pelvic pain. It's all a mystery and is getting me down not knowing what is causing the pain

Hi Iris

this sounds horrible.

have you seen a urologist or a urogynaecologist?

i think if you keep getting these symptoms it would be very helpful to get bladder conditions checked out. That's not to say you definitely have anything like that, but it's definitely worth looking into further.

The bleeding from bowel isnt good, and i think that depends on the blood itself (ie if it's fresh bright red it could be piles, etc

Have you seen a good specialist?

sorry to hear you're having such a rubbish time

take care

xx

Hi, seen a general gynaecologist who has taken me seriously and done lap ( I know other people sometimes struggle to get this so soon) but who seems v keen to discharge me now he has ruled out endo. Off back to my gp today so will see what they say x

Hi there

I sympathise. I repeatedly get WBC in my urine and no infection is found. I have had endo for 20 years and my gynae told me endo can cause this as it is an inflammatory disease bhope this helps. It worried me too

Take care x

I know this question is really old but YES! I came here because I was wondering if they were linked too.

When I was younger I had two occasions when I had severe stomach cramps that lasted a hour and a half. The doctors couldn’t find anything wrong. Since the first time I had it, I have frequently it’s been pulled up that I have high levels of WBC in my urine. All of those times I’ve never had an infection or a reason for the high numbers of WBC.
