My periods finally returned 7 months after the last injection. The first one was normal but the second has been light, brown and with large clots... anyone experienced this?

Anyone had problems with periods after stopping Triptorelin injections?
Triptorelin/Decapeptyl stops periods like all the GnRH drugs, and any time you stop periods medically or through pregnancy or mirena coil or whatever you use, the menstrual lining that has grown, and stayed inside you, loses it's oxygen (which makes it red) and it rusts to brown. This is NORMAL and will always happen when old lining slews away. This is why endometrioma cysts are called chocolate cysts, because they are filled with blood that gets trapped in them and turns brown. Just like scabs on cuts and grazes start out red and turn brown.
The first bleed after the drug wore off and the ovaries kick started again was fresh blood, but not a proper period as such. the second one where that months old lining came away indicated that that was a proper period and now new lining will grow for next month's period.
You still might get the brown sludge for a month or two as the old lining breaks away.
Incidentally as you get older periods generally do cause more brown sludge to come out with them. That is normal too. When you are younger periods tend to be fresher bright red bleeds. Nothing to worry about though it happens to everyone.
