My name is Michelle I'm due to have a lap in March and possible have my Ovaries removed at same time.

I'm 36 and really am unsure what to do with regards to my Ovaries, gyno is saying she will only remove them if my insides are a mess.

I've had 2 laps previously one with lazer removal and one excision.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My insides were a mess but I did not need to lose my ovaries. It is quite important to keep them if possible as they provide hormones even after menopase that assist your body.

I had total peritoneal radical excision to get rid of my endo and had endometrioma and cysts removed from my ovaries which had been totally stuck up in the wrong place. I then had temporary ovarian suspension so that they did not re-adhere to the healing peritonium.

Have a look on the website of Dr A K Trehan. He is an advocate of not losing the ovaries.

It will at least arm you with information and another view point before making a decision.

Best wishes
