How long does it take for Cerazette to work? Even Noresthisterone isn't effective.

On Cerazette and Norethisterone, but still bleeding heavy and very painful. Difficult to walk I'm off sick and worried about my job. The last laser I had was 10 years ago. I don't want surgery if I can avoid it as worried about scar tissue encouraging more endo. I've only been on Cerazette for 3 weeks but I'm surprised how heavy and painful it is, even with the Norethisterone. Any advice would really help. We've just cancelled the first meal out we'd planned for ages. It's as if this endo is a curse asit strikes whenever I start to feel normal.

I didnt get on with Cerazette at all I felt terrible and my hair started to fall out.. Maybe its not the pill for you? I kept on with it for 2 months until my GP swapped it for me..

Some people love cerazette, others don't get on well with it. Unfortunately you need to give any hormonal treatment like this 3 months to settle down. Personally I just bled all the time on cerazette, literally every day for 6 months until I gave up with it.

Maybe go back to your doctor, but be prepared to give it time. It might be an option to take tranexamic acid to help with the bleeding.

Also, a lot of endo socialists don't do laser, they do excision which is a lot more effective and doesn't have the same risks of adhesions as with laser. It may be worth considering as the treatment you're having is only dealing with the symptoms and surgery could really help.

Thanks so much for your advice. I guess because I'm 45 I've kind of thought, what's the point being referred to a Gynae. My Gp wants me to go for the chemical menopause, but I've been told on here that its only short term. I'm going to a different GP on Monday.

I'm confused but know I can't go on like this.

Chemical menopause really helps with the pain especially if you take HRT which has risks I know, but I have been switched in to menopause twice (first time 7 months, 2nd time 3 months) and the pain relief is profound. Good luck with it all. x
