Dianette and headaches?

I have been taking Dianette for the 2 weeks now and I developed a severe headache with shooting pains last night and its still there today. It actually woke me up through the night. Do you think this is due to the Dianette or just a coincidence?

Headaches can be hormone related so it is possible. I don't know what makes up Dianette but I know estrogen dominance can be responsible for hormone headaches.

I have just looked it up and a potential side effect is headache. The usual potential side effects of any other contraceptive pill. If you read the lists you would not take them - but even if you read the list of paracetamol or aspirin, that is the same to put it into perspective. If you continue with headaches, and you don't usually have them, I would go back and see your doctor. Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.
