My Doctor wants me to start Weight loss drugs. I have Stage 3. Are these safe to take with CKD? Is one weight loss drug better than others for someone with CKD?

Go for it if you have weight to lose. Being overweight can stop you from getting a transplant. I am on Ozempic. I started two years or more years ago. Although I am on the lowest dose, it has significantly reduced my A1c. I am now at 5 and weaning off insulin. There are many new ones out there and depending on what the doctor recommends, he/she is the one who knows your medical history. AND.. lowering you BMI helps with your kidneys. I have dropped some weight recently and I had the best labs I have had in a long time. I am on dialysis.
