Artificial kidney in the making. - Early CKD Support
Artificial kidney in the making.
An old, but very interesting article. I originally looked at volunteering for trials on this device, but you had to be a US resident.
I will happen one day, but I fear it is still a long way off, especially on the NHS. Had my transplant in March this year, so hopefully it will last until artificial kidneys become available.
Hi,
With the right diet and meds a replacement kidney can last 40 years or more. I have a client who has had is replacement over 40 years and is still going strong. He made the point that the combination of the right specialist and the right meds tailored to his needs are what has made it happen for him.
I'm still waiting for the powers that be to catch up with the Chinese with stem cells so I can grow another one. I won't see this in my life time. Maybe when the FDA gets replaced with more forward thinking people that don't take so long for products to be available for us common people -------.
Does anyone know what the filter agent is for dialysis treatment? I have not found out yet.
