What to do with CKD Stage 3

Hi. Good thing I saw this page. My mom had been diagnosed with CKD Stage 3 with eGFR at 43 and Crea level at 1.29 mg/dL. She had her thyroid removed 3 years ago because of Thyroid cancer and has been taking drugs like Eltroxin (Levothyroxine Sodium) and Sodium Bicarbonate supplement. Does these drugs affect her kidneys? Her nephro said no but I wanted to make sure since the pills she's been taking all has sodium in it. Also, she's on vegan diet right now with low salt. Will this kind of diet be enough to raise her eGFR? I hope I can get helpful diet tips here and other information that would make me and my mom less worried. Thank you in advance!
