Info Please . . .

I have family history of CKD so I know what's coming re: dialysis and transplants etc . . . but can anyone tell me please what a 'normal' or what a 'danger' level of creatine is?

Would figs of 19% or 331 be a cause for immediate alarm. Can't be that bad because I have follow-up appointment in 4 months, but I can't find any figures that would relate to mine - unless mine are so far off the chart, which I doubt because I feel absolutely fine.

I've seen a Doctor recently and thought of a few questions that I wished I'd have asked at the time. Typical!

Thank you in advance for info, suggestions or thoughts etc . . .

My last creatinine level was 104, and the range is [ 44.0 - 97.0 ] so mine was above range,

I hope those figures help you. I assume you are in the UK.

I'd call the doctor and leave a message with your questions. If you're not too far away, jot them down and drop them off at the office. It's your right to be informed, especially if you realized you had unanswered questions when you arrived home.

I'm not familiar with creatinine levels stated with a percentage or a large number. The lab I go to says the "normal" range is 0.55-1.02; I don't know how that translates from your figures. My nephrologist would like to see me below 1.0. I don't think that's ever gonna happen, though.

Best wishes,

Laurie
