I read last night on the internet about women whov`e had hysterectomies having a 30 per cent increase in kidney cancer risk. This has frightened the life out of me because I had a hysterectomy over 30 years ago. How does hysterectomy cause kidney cancer?

I have never heard that i can't see why that would happen as cancer is cells gone wrong so to speak! some drugs also give an increased risk & if cancer runs in your family i wouldn't worry too much my mum had hysterectomy & she is 84 two of her friends also & also in their 80s now!

You shouldn't worry about things like this. I know it's hard but if you worry about the possibility of cancer you'll never do anything again.

Research suggests that red meat is linked to cancer, that boot makers are at a higher risk of cancer as are painters and oil workers. Kidney transplant recipients are at a risk of skin cancer and lymphoma cancer.

eveyone in their own right is at some sort of risk, and if you do get cancer then just look out for the signs and catch it early.

Don't panic

Dear Madam, Do not worry. I think after a 30-year interval of hysterectomy, God willing, you will have no problem. God bless you.
