Out of the blue with no symptoms, I found a need to deal with a Furhman Grade II Clear Cell Carcinoma of Kidney. The operation was at Southend Hospital. Dr TW Carr MS FRCS was th Consultant Urologist. The operation went well the care was exceptional and 15 years later I'm still here and enjoying my life.
Always please to tell my story and answer questions.
12 years later I was diagnosed with Lymphoma, underwent a strong regime of Chemo and am now in remittance and fingers crossed all the latest blood tests and scans continue with an all clear.
Life is there to live and fulfill and I'm doing my best. I've made it this far because my family have supported me, various friends have prayed for me and the medical skills and practice have appropriately performed.
Of to Japan next year for a holiday!

Congratulations on such a wonderful recovery, I had a Burketts Lymphoma 17 years ago and was treated at Bristol Oncology and had wonderful treatment and follow up there. Have now got ckd stage 3b which is being kept under control, I can well remember after a three month stay in the oncology ward just sitting in our garden and enjoying the flowers and the greeness of all the plants. Life is good and I hope you have the most wonderful holiday and bring back with you many happy memories.
Thanks for your inspirational words. I should also imagine that aside from having great family and medical support your very positive attitude must play a big part in your success. My old Dad used to say you need 3 things in life. Something to do, something to look forward to and someone who loves you. Well done and I hope you have a great time on your visit to Japan next year.
