Hi,I don't know what the norm is, with bloods at this stage but my eGFR is about the same.I was getting mine done once a month due 2 my meds, but atm prob once evry 2/3mnths.I think it depends if it sort of stable or dropping. Mine was dropping @ 12 per year but has levelled out a bit recently, although has dropped again after climbing back up to 49%,back 2 42% since Christmas.

Take care

Thank you madonbrew and phillen

I did read that it was every 6 months, but thought that was a bit too long.

I have recently been having swollen/painful feet and was wondering if it could be my kidney's ? perhaps I should make an appointment to get a blood test done.

my hubby used to have his done every 3 months at stage 3 that should be frequent enough unless you feel ill or if your bloods changed drastically!

It's amazing how the test differs, ie., [ every 2/3/ 6 months ] I suppose we have to rely on our GPs on how often they think it needs doing. But like phillen said if you feel unwell get it checked sooner, common sense I suppose.

" I try to get my blood tested every other month. I pay myself using a private lab.

I was at 3b in December of 2014 and by march 2015 I had dropped 10 points from 41 to 31 for no apparent reason. I think due to these circumstances that I will test every month which is very expensive at 32.00. Doctors only want to test me every three months but at this stage I want to follow it myself.'
