Hi everyone!
Apparently it's international dog day! Does anyone have any experience with diabetes detection dogs? I've seen stories of them, but have never seen one!
Hi everyone!

Not a dog, but, I did have a cat who taught himself to notice when something was amiss with me.
He was a feral 6 month old who'd been in a fight, and came into my house to recuperate. I had him 'fixed' so that when he left he wouldn't father the next generation of ferals, only he decided he was on a cushy number here and stayed!
I let him sleep on my bed, and he'd curl up next to my pillow. I don't know how many times he woke me up patting at my face and meowing, eventually I realised he wasn't asking for food or to go out, he was waking me up due to a hypo
(he was also very good at waking me up from a night terror)
Saved my life more than once I reckon!
Sadly he died a couple of years ago from kidney failure, which I believe was from poisoning, but the vet (while agreeing it looked like poison) didn't do a toxicology report.
I miss him every day. The photo is one I took of him after he'd woken me from a night terror and was lying on my face purring so loud I couldn't hear myself think.
