Hi everyone. This is an update on what has happened today/this evening. For starters, I want to say that it was a really stressful time getting in touch with the Tech. Support for a free replacement. I had to call four times tonight after dinner because I kept getting cut off. Not very helpful for anyone. They also had trouble with the important information that I had to give them.

When I finally got done with the phone call, I was told that the free sensor was expected to be here in the next few days. We’ll see what happens soon.

The old sensor kept having sensor error for a few times during the day and a hiccup on the 14th of March. Not happy.

See the picture of the warm up. It’s going to be done after 10 pm.

Hiya,

I thought the sensors were improving, it's not good having to sort this out a lot of time.

They've started advertising the Dexcom G6 over here in the UK and I always think of you and your stresses it causes you when I see it. Let's hope the new sensor is better than this one.

TT x.

I hope it works a lot better than the last one. It would take some of the stress down a bit. Will let you and everyone else know what's going on soon when I get more information. Watch this spot. :-)

What is the dexcom g6?

It's a type of Continuous Glucose Monitoring system used with sensors to show blood sugars every 5 minutes. Some sensors are suppose to be changed every 10 days, but it depends on if they work the entire time or if they fail for some odd reason. If they fail early, then they have to be changed even if it's not the correct day. Has your doctor suggested that you use a CGM? :-) I've been using the CGM for almost 6 years, but the G6 was started in May 2019.
