Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone. This is the weekly update on how things went from last week.

First of all, sorry for not being around as much for the last few days. I've been dealing with a cold since Wednesday morning. :-( Oddly, with the cold and a few other things going on, my blood sugars on and off the DEXCOM aren't as bad as I had expected. The only time the numbers went over 300 mg/dl was yesterday. The rest of the time, everything has been either in the upper 100's to low 200's.

This morning (before 6 am), the DEXCOM alarmed because I was under 80 mg/dl on it. I had a snack and then went back to sleep for a little while since it was 5:15 am when the alarm went off. This wasn't fun and I really wanted to get some sleep since I haven't been sleeping okay since I've been sick.

The DEXCOM also alarmed at breakfast today because the sensor stopped working at the same time while I was eating. So, I changed the old sensor and put the new one in around 7:15 am and finished eating before doing my shot for the morning (it's almost lunch time here while I'm typing this).

So far, the new sensor is working and I had to have a morning snack after calibrations were done. I had a Greek Yogurt for snack. The number now on the DEXCOM is: 206 sideways. Pretty good for being sick and having extra food today.

More later! :-)

Hi Leah, I'm sorry that you haven't been well or sleeping well so poor you with your DEXCOM alarm at 5-15am. At least it's doing its job and keeping you safe.

I hope that you feel better real soon and catch up on your sleep.

Jerry. 😊
