Chocolate

I am concerned about how much chocolate is eaten by my friend who has had diabetes 2 for several years. He takes Metformin 3 times a day and as his checks are alright, he thinks it is okay to indulge. Is he right in this assumption?

I would be worried for him. Its not good for diabetics unless going Hypo. Do your best to calm him down. Good luck

I am also T2 for 12 years and I have a sweet tooth and like chocolate and if my numbers are good I do like a bit of dark chocolate,no doubt my nurse will tell me off but I am 81 and think a little won't hurt

I have been T1 for more than 52yrs. You eat as much as you can & I will not touch the stuff. I don't have a sweet tooth. Look after yourself.

Does it mean it is safe to eat chocolates? I have diabetes type 2 (family genes). I try to eat sugar free food and eat well. I get hypo from time to time. Which chocolate and how much can I eat a day?
