Need advice regarding appointments?

I was diagnosed in November with diabetes but since then haven’t had check up or eye screening. How long after being diagnosed should I see the diabetes specialist

That is awful - within weeks of my diagnosis I'd have the eye screening at the hospital clinic, a session with a dietician, and my first podiatry appointment, all in addition to my appointments with the diabetic nurse at my GPs surgery (immediately, then monthly for 2 appointments).

Just after the 3 month point I had a second set of blood tests to check if my blood sugars and triglycerides had improved.

Hopefully you just slipped through the cracks and a reminder will get them going!

Don't be shy about asking - GPs get extra money per diabetic patient towards the extra costs.
