The charity is holding its first Diabetes Wellness Day for people living in the Midlands. Following the very successful Diabetes Wellness Day South and North we have booked a day at Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth in Wawickshire.
As always DRWF is able to subsidise the cost of attendance as part of the charity’s annual educational event programme. We only ask for a small registration fee of £5 per person, to help us with the costs. The registration fee includes the full programme of talks and activities, access to the exhibition hall, all-day refreshments, a hot sit down lunch and free parking. The Diabetes Wellness Day Midlands will bring together a wealth of information under one roof for people living with all forms of Diabetes. Family members, friends and carers and those with an interest in diabetes are also encouraged to take part. The day will provide you with the tools, knowledge and practical skills needed to improve life with diabetes and the keys to healthier living. The day is designed to ensure all participants have the opportunity to raise their questions, share their experiences and enjoy the support of a friendly, like-minded diabetes community in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
We work together with our NHS colleagues to provide a programme that focuses on the many key areas that affect people living with diabetes. The talks will run as satellite sessions and be repeated throughout the day, giving everyone the chance to take part in the sessions that interest them the most.
The vibrant exhibition room will form the hub of the day, giving you the opportunity and flexibility to spend as much time as you like visiting the stands and chatting with a variety of experts and healthcare professionals who will be on hand to offer advice on diet, health, lifestyle and the latest blood-glucose meters and diabetes related products and services.
