Hi Guys,

I have just joined this group and I'm seeking some valuable advice from you all. I need to know the complete India food diet which I can follow to control my sugar levels. Also if you can help me, what type of exercise should I practice?

reduce carbohydrates....i think best exercise is running if you can.

I am32.and was diagnosed with type2 9 months before with fbs 130 and hba1c 7.2...and with exercise and diet..within 3 months..i reached at fbs 90 and hba1c 5.5...and still at same level...

so you can reverse it if you are just diagnosed or if you are prediabetic level...but you need to make this exercise and diet a daily practice..if you stop the glucose levels will again rise.

Carbs do the damage. So as Sabismail says reduce. A stick of celery is good & I quite often have.

you may reduce non vegees...add more fibre vegetables...avoid fast foods snacks drinks and juices...you may substitute rice with chapathi..

more important reducequantity..and exercise...reduce body weight..i lost 10 kg.

hello dhiresh

Welcome to the group....

may I request you to share more details about you such as your age (from the title of post it looks like 30)

what are the other parameters like Fasting insulin..fatty liver scan...weight..thyroid .. cholesterol etc ...any other problems...

I think once u share this information there are many knowledgeable members here like Hidden Hidden suramo around who can guide you about Indian diet..

Do not worry and relax...I guess age to your side.. and with minimum medicine and diet you can remain in no diabetic range...

Successful combat against Diabetes is "Control Intake" & " Regulate via exercise ". Exercise can be mere 30-45 minutes walking every day. Control intake measures include meals at regular intervals, small portions 4-5 times a day. For example breakfast for me since last 20 years has been Oats & Quinoa in a cup of milk. Top it with soaked almonds, walnuts, flax seeds and sunflower seeds. Between lunch and breakfast have a small meal of sprouts or salad. Lunch can be light with two chapathis or a cup of rice with vegetables or fish or chicken. Evening snack an apple or orange with handful of nuts. Early dinner light again. Don't forget your medicines and daily walk !! you will have things under control !! all the best

I really wish I was T2 diabetic & not T1. T1 your pancreas does not work. T2 it may work 20% or 80%. Keeping active is good for anyone & less carbs is also good. From someone who has been T1 for more than 50yrs. There is a big difference between T1 & T2
