Thursday Morning: DEXCOM (El jueves por la mañana: DEXCOM)

Before heading to work this morning, I had removed the old sensor and put in the newest one. It didn't take as long as I was expecting since the old sensor had stopped working on its own a minute before taking it off. That worked out quite nicely since I was getting nervous that I would be late to my job. Lucky me, I got where I had to go 10 minutes early.

Antes de dirigirme para trabajar esta mañana, había quitado el viejo sensor y había puesto en el más nuevo. No tomó mientras esperaba ya que el viejo sensor había dejado de trabajar solo un minuto antes de quitarlo. Esto calculó completamente amablemente ya que me hacía nervioso que llegaría tarde a mi trabajo. Afortunado mí, me puse donde tuve que ir 10 minutos temprano.

Since I changed my sensor this morning, I had to do the calibrations while I was at the front desk area around 10:30 am. Since I did both tests then, everyone didn't really want to wait for me to get to them, but i had done the 2 calibrations, anyway and then tried to get what everyone wanted me to do done. I was really busy! It doesn't help either when you only have very few hours of sleep!

Ya que cambié mi sensor esta mañana, tuve que hacer las calibraciones mientras estaba en el área de la recepción a eso de las 10:30. Ya que hice ambas pruebas entonces, cada uno realmente no quiso esperarme a ponerse a ellos, pero había hecho las 2 calibraciones, de todos modos y luego había tratado de conseguir lo que cada uno quiso que yo hiciera hecho. ¡Estaba realmente ocupado! ¡No ayuda tampoco cuando sólo tiene muy pocas horas del sueño!

I went without my DEXCOM for the holiday weekend for a wedding. Between Foundation and my doctors office things had been messed up and we ordered a new one but it did not arrive in time. Frustration! I found out how much I depend on it. Did frequent BS's but was eating different foods. Grandson married an Indian girl needless to say it was magic. I eat more KETO not so much breads, pasta, rice and beans, lentil's. They were fabulous prepared. My sugars varied from lows in the morning to over 350's which never happens to me. I kept testing often not having my tool which would have allowed me to shot more insulin to avoid those highs. Thankfully the Dexcom arrived last night and I have been have steady straight BS's across the board. I ran into testing all the time and people looking at me strange, then having to excuse myself to shoot up if possible or through my dress at time you could not leave a service. For those that do not know they go 3 days and last hours which is lovely and an honor to their religion. Often you can move about so it is not a problem. They do love eating at these events, sharing their taste. They did have food for those that could not tolerate their taste-high carb.. Things can get busy and we do get sleepy and people running around wanting us is tasking. This was the first time I was without and had to test so often. At work it would be so difficult-take a break if possible!
