Hi. I'm new to this forum and I'm a type 1diabetic who was diagnosed with Gastroparesis roughly 6 months ago. I was just wondering if anyone else has this condition and how your coping with it. Is there any advice on what medication can be taken, etc.?

I am a type 1 diabetic too but have had gastroparesis for over 10 years as I had cancer surgery. I live with it but have not found anything to help it.

Do you still feel the effects of it regularly?

It does affect how my blood sugars behave so I have regular hypos as food is not digested at the same speed every time. i live with it.

Do you take low carb preferably keto diet? Try lchf/keto diet for a few days. Once you have controlled your bs and a1c gastroparesis should go away.

And don't forget to adjust insulin dosages if you go for lchf / keto diet. Don't let hypos occur.

The Keto diet would not work for me as I have other health issues. :(
