T-2 since diagnosis in 1989, however, symptoms were back in 1984 while in the military. Fitness and nutrition has to be a permanent thing.

I love helping people and listening to them. Solutions are easy or very complex. Listening and working with someone is half the battle as well as having an open mind. I am presently feeling great affects from a detox regime that has caused my pancreas to wake up and as a result, taking less insulin and maintaining consistent weight. I am averaging lower readings and enjoying fitness such as Zumba-Gold, Aerobics, walking six days a week on a paper round and two evenings of Circuit exercises with many younger than myself. I devote time to keeping up with what is current in diabetes and do some presentations for local groups and clubs. I work with former military people taking part in parades, military funerals and some drill. I am qualified in Integrated Medicine as a practitioner and help others to stay healthy. A volunteer for DRWF and helper, I also perform as Captain Insulin for children with diabetes at special events.
