I am trained in simple toe nail cutting

I know cutting toe nails for diabetics is for chiropodist or podiatrist to do

Does this apply to diabetics that control by diet ?

I'm not medically qualified but I think the issue with cutting toe nails is probably down to peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes - nerves in the foot no longer working properly so a real risk of damaging yourself. If you are in doubt then I'd suggest that you ask your GP or diabetic nurse.
