Sorry this is later than normal, but I've been extremely busy with my Senior Center job.  You'll understand once you read everything.

First of all, I'm attaching a picture that had been taken of me yesterday with one of the Instructors who was signing up for the Nutrition Program for Seniors 60 and above.  Second, the DEXCOM has something to do with me being at the Senior Center.  Any questions, feel free to let me know.

During the day yesterday, I was over 400 mg/dL for a lot of the day (including when I was working).  This isn't good.  I drank a lot of water to help bring the numbers down, but it seemed to take a lot longer than I had remembered.  Not sure what's going on since I had been eating most of the same foods like usual-- except at dinner last night and today at lunch so far.

I know there's been a lot of stress at the center lately, but it shouldn't cause the numbers on my DEXCOM to hit over 400 no matter what I ate.  Something is going on and I'm not sure what that could be.  When I figure it all out, I'll let you know.  The main stress that's going on right now is with the Nutrition Manager.  She hates when I take a break and she has to work at the front desk area (see picture below for desk).  Not sure why she has a problem with working when I'm taking my break, but she gets an attitude about it.  I've told the Director twice about the issue and she says she'll have a talk with the Nutrition Manager.  Hope it's soon because I told our Director that I'm no longer wanting to help Nutrition-- or the Nutrition Manager since I"ve given her way more chances than she had deserved to be given.  She's disappointed me.

Speaking of undo stress, I had to get on the phone with DEXCOM and get another free sensor since the one before this one that got inserted on Tuesday was taken care of, the old one didn't work for most of the day!  I was on the phone for almost 50 minutes during the work day.  It's good the Director is okay with this.

Keep on reading!  Will try and check in again as soon as I can.  The next posting won't hopefully be so stressful.

¡Siga leyendo!

Please satisfy my curiosity & tell me what is DEXCOM? I have never heard of it.  Best wishes, Hazel (shattock1)

DEXCOM is a CGM (continuous Glucose Monitoring) system that reads your blood sugars using a sensor inserted under your skin and can read fluids.  It has a receiver, sensor, transmitter and IPhone.  The IPhone you can get in a T-Mobile or other phone store.  The IPhone works best.  You can have 5 followers that use Android phones, so the followers can know your blood sugar at all times.  The receiver has to be charged every 3 days.  The web site is:  dexcom.com.

Thanks for the information. I have never heard of it until now & have certainly not had it suggested by any medic. Sounds like a good idea.
