I do not need any help. I asked if there is any doctor on this site who will answer our queries. If you are on this, please keep answering various queries raised by many persons.

Hope you are not blind or paralised to go out and look out for a doctor for your need. No proffessional doctor is allowed to advertise or voluntarily offer you advice.

The ultimate test for control of Diabetes (and not cure) is the blood sugar level during the entire 24 hour period, and a periodic test called HbA1C. All advice given about food, medicines, injections, exercise must be tested over a reasonable period by individuals (if possible under the supervision of a diabologist / dietician). All practitioners of this disease must ensure that they do not exploit the misery of patients to make money. I came across a glucometer mfg. Co, who offered incentives to buy more of their blood testing strips. Disgusting. Is n't it ? Incidentally, many pseudo experts practicing naturopathy , yoga and Ayurvedic systems un-knowingly use the word CURE.

Dear Dr Pramod,

So much myth is going around regarding Diabetes and people are losing their eyes being mis-informed. I know personally of 4 such cases. It hurts when we find that they or their care takers were not well informed. This could have been avoided.

Kindly co-operate so that patients do not lose their eyes or feet.

My personal experience:

1.For Breakfast, I compared the effect on sugar leve, of Dalia and Oat, for a few days. I found that Oat is superior and raises BS level much less. I also tried Corn flakes and Suji. Both are worse than Dalia, though dalia can be taken with a higher dose of insulin.

Pl try for yourself.

2.Lately I am trying to do without a chapati at dinner. I am taking only curd, vegetable, dal. This is showing that the BS level rises much less. Trial for a few more days may confirm my findings.

Pl try and tell us.

Can any specialist please advise on the following:

Cardiologists these days prescribe Ecospirin 75 as blood thinner to be taken regularly I am 72 and have a stent, diabetic on insulin. On the other hand, the eye specialist does not ask me if I am taking any blood thinner, nor the Cardiologist asks about my eye retinopathy. I get the fundus exam done every six months as advised. There are small budding problems in retina.

Is there a gap in the two specialists' .?
