You are probably aware that Mr.Wasim Akram,the great fast bowler ,is a chronic diabetic.If exercise alone can reduce diabetes,he should not have had it.So,as mentioned in the earlier posts a combination of several factors play a role in combating diabetes.

Dear Friend,

Regular walking can really help if you are disciplined on your diet and you are able to maintain equipoise in your mind. I am assuming that you are not taking medicines and hence want to be that way.

It also depends on the extent of secretion of insulin by the pancreas.

Without sharing the other aspects and the recent test results, it would not be fair on your part to expect qualified answers from the members of this community. Even then, it is not an alternative to medical advice from a doctor.
