What are the chances of controlling Diabetes after a gastric bypass operation ?

What if "natural" means does not work and you are faced with a situation where the BMI is 43 and insulin input is about 100 units per day ? With a reduced stomach size and deodenal bypass what "life style" are you talking about ?

Did you have the bypass? did it help? Tried to loose weight for years and I now have diabetes. Would like to know if this is the right way forward.
