Can a diabetic patient go for abs-making and such vigrous exercises??

Yes! As part of controlling diabetes, exercise is a must. One of the reasons for the explosion of diabetes in India is that more people today do far less exercise. There are only 24 hours in a day so if you want to do a lot of exercise, say 5 times a week, then it pays to do vigorous exercise. Ab work (sit-ups, squats etc) fall into this category, particualrly if they are part of a circuit routine. However, if you are taking diabetes medication, then you have to start slowly and learn about the balance between the medication, food intake and exercise. always have some fruit, milk, starch ready whislt you are learning how much food you need to compensate for exercise.

It Depends on your medical history, consult a Physician and get a stress test done. Diabetes usually clogs the arteries. Be safe..
