I, Raji Sidhu, am suffering from Blood Sugar since more then 20 years and now living in

Chandigarh ( the City Beautiful ) and had taken treatment from all the known Sugar

Specialists & PGI Doctors but after using various medicines and replacing them alternately but all in vain . Now, from more then 5 years, I am injecting Insulin 50 points in morning & 30 points in evening and even then my fasting sugar level remains 250/300+ in spite of using sugar free .

It is earnestly requested to the whole Community and all the members who are suffering from Blood Sugar / Diabetic to suggest me any effective treatment or

guidance please.

Raji Sidhu ( Chandigarh )

LCHF Diet is the only way forward. Despite taking so much insulin if you are getting dangerously high FBS it only shows that insulin is not the way out. You have to change diet to LCHF. Every other attempt will only lead to more frustration. See how one user on INSULIN fixed it in 3 days:

He has posted his graphical summary on following url too:

lchf diet is the one and only way.

Yes, if 80 units of insulin is getting FBS of 250/300 then there's definitely no other solution. Doctors of course will tell to inject 40 more.

First of all I request you to maintain your calm and consciously think about your problem. But before some suggestion is given, a few things need clarification.Your weight and age, which I guess is around 40 yrs.( I may be completely off the mark). Details of blood sugar, you have mentioned only fasting, your HbA1c etc.Type insulin and any other medication.High BP or any other complication .Your diet and life style. You must have studied what is diabetes and how blood sugar is maintained in normal person. Please understand that there is no magic wand to control diabetes. It is you and only you can control diabetes by determination, knowledge and information.

What is your life style, weight, height, how much carbs, protiene, and Fat you eat.If you are around forty, you are certainly Diabetic-1.

Exercise, and brisk walking for half an hour everyday is sufficient in itself, and physical activity are

important and go hand-in-hand with medication in controlling the blood sugar. The more activity the better. 15 minutes brisk walking, i.e fast pace, after breakfast and the same after dinner should make a difference. Wishing you well.

Looking at your metabolic rate and a low carb diet is recommended. Please take suggestion by Patliputra & Kpcl seriously. Cheers

Please do not take heavy exercise as bs shoots up.Take a pinch of baking soda (cooking soda) in morning and evening. if u get take flax seed powder.take omega3(codliver/fish oil )capsules along with food for one week or so and see the difference. continue your medication and slowly reduce. take green/black tea or coffee without milk. Do not think too much and have simple clarity and peace of mind. all the best.

At 250/300 FBS, one should never be exercising ever. Never ever! Walking for 2 Hrs on that level can be disastrous. I am very sure, nothing else will work. All the talk about weight reduction by starving are just not long-term solutions. Only thing that works is LCHF. Proven world over.

And also lchf diet if possible., Kcpl suggestions are most valuable., and may be the best way out of problem.

Since you are a diabetic for 20 years and on Insulin only during last 5 years, you cannot be a Type 1 by any chance. In all probability you seem to be on a very high carbs low fat diet and also suffering from terrible insulin resistance.

You have wonderful medicines in Homeopathic system. As suggested Jambolinum medicine will do some good for diabetic patients who urinate profusely day and night. But you have good combination medicines available in Homeo medicines manufactured in India by companies like SBL and Baksons .As you are on Insulin you are suggested to go for Homeo Insulin triturations ,which will take good care of your sugar levels. For high sugar Insulin is the medicine and when Hypoglycemic condition occurs again Insulin(Homeo) is the medicine to bail out the patient from bad situation. Many people are ignorant of this action of Homeo medicine .Usage of Homeo medicine for Diabetes is very important to protect your internal organs like liver, Kidneys, heart and eyes. Pl. consult a good Homeo practitioner for treatment and be blessed.
