Have you talked with your doctor about the numbers ? Are you on medication and/or insulin?

Can you please let your doctor know that you want to switch medication because of the swelling and itching?

Yes but new medicine stops itching problems but didn't work for high fasting readings

VINODM , can you please talk about changing your diet with your doctor? changing medicines or increasing your physical activities does not help if your diet is not diabetic friendly.

Only required is excercise for half an hour daily . The cost of diabetic medicines increasing exponentially.

My query is similar to this  VINODM , so writing here. I am intermittently testing the FBS levels, without taking Metformin tab the night before. it means trying to change the diet and see any improvement etc. Obviously, i dont want to take medicines and wish to control through diet. Without taking Met...tab, FBS is 126 for last two days. (Ate 3 idlies, 5 small thin non-oil roties with tomoato, ghiya curry, plus a small half Papaya For the whole day). Is this diet wrong and increases the FBS level more than normal? i am not doing any walking etc, usual normal household works, though. will take PP (2 hours after after lunch or breakfast? what is the rule?? ) and will post here.

Hello, You need to invest on a continuous blood glucose monitor, this can be expensive but the app on your phone can give you accurate levels for 24 hours, you can use to to avoid some food.

Now in UK food people are suggesting to have continuous monitor to avoid some food.

Their package is very expensive.

Take care.

I feel your diet is not sufficient. My situation is similar to VINODM. I changed my dinner to millet from rice. The proportion of millet rice to moong dal and vegetables should be controlled. Taking vildaglyptin/metmorfen 50/1000 post dinner.

what rules are you looking for?

An example, porridge for breakfast gives blood glucose spike compared to full fat yogurt and berries.

Many people in UK believes porridge is the best breakfast. ZOE, did research in COVID, now concentrating on food. !!!!

Yes.With Dr. consultation and this approach, my Fasting BGL reduced from 222, 180, 140, 120 etc levels to less than 100 consistently for the last 21 days.

Taking complex carbs like millets, red rice in small quantities in the night ( diet coach's advi e) and proper medication.

Sleep also matters (7-8 hrs).

Note: 24 yrs of DM 2 and fasting had never reached below 120-140 earlier.
