I test creatinine, urea in every six months and microalbumin in every 6months.is there any other test require to check the functioning of kidney.i m diabetic since last 6years and age is 39.

There are a few more tests which would indicate efficacy of kidney function:

1. ACR - Albumin creatinine ratio

2. GFR

3.Blood pottassium and sodium can also be tested.. so also blood uric acid

4.. Blood haemoglobin ....become lower as kidney function deteriorate...since Adequate erythropoietin is not made available

Also please consult a nephrologist if you have a doubt on kidney function... Kidney is a very important organ...
