Hi basakjayanta75 ,

What did you eat for dinner tonight? Are you on medication? Insulin? Exercise and diet together? What are your blood sugars before meals? What did your doctor say about the blood sugars?

As you are new to the forum , I am afraid you need to offer more information.!

Age, weight, height, any medication, food you eat, and drinks you take, any exercise and many more. With all these information members can help.

You can control type 2 with diet and exercise. Do you take sugar test three times a day.?

Do you know your blood pressure and blood cholesterol?

Thank you.

You are young, under weight. You need to look at your diet to help to increase your weight and blood sugar level.

Please give examples of you daily food and drink intakes for a week. I am sure you doctor can guide with medication dosage.

Type 2 can be controlled by diet and exercise.

Take care.

Postprandial blood sugar (PPBS) after one hour should be less than 200 mg/dL and after 2 hours 140 mg/dL. Your PPBS is normal.

Your body mass index is only 17 and you have underweight.

Metformin (generic name) Glyciphage (brand name) is used alone or with other medications, including insulin, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Metformin is in a class of drugs called biguanides. Metformin helps to control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by your liver. Metformin also increases your body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood.

As far I as I understand PP after 50 minitus or say one hour 180 is the limit. However nothing to worry about as there will be slight variations between the instrument and lab test as labs uses serum as against blood in instruments. Some exercise is advisable
