Albumin V/s microalbumin

Suppose If I do my routine urine test and it shows negative albumin than does it goes the same for Microalbumin also? Or is there any difference between albumin and Microalbumin?

Yes it is.

The very reliable test is micro album ratio in fasting urine test .

It will indicate the kidneys condition.

albumin testing in urine is macroalbuminuria, visible to you in the tested sample by simple dipstick method.if it is positive ,no need to go for micro albuminuria.

microalbuminuria is a subtle level of albumin visible only by special test methods on a fasting sample.this precedes macroalbuminuria in diabetes and is the earliest sign of renal involvement in diabetes

Suppose if my albumin is negative than my Microalbumin will also be negative?
